Moses D. Olamide
General Manager, Planning & Commercial
Education: Mr. Moses Dayo Olamide hails from Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering obtained in 1985 from the University of Ibadan and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Production Operation Management in 2001.
Career: He joined NNPC on 1st July, 1991 as a Petroleum Engineer1 (Now SS 5) after working with a Gas Compressor Servicing Company – Hoerbiger Valves Inc. for about four years.
He served in NAPIMS’ Petroleum Engineering Department of the Joint Venture Operations after the mandatory six-month training with Chevron in Drilling and Production Operations. Mr. Olamide worked with the Petroleum Engineering Department in various capacities before he was appointed as Technical Assistant (TA) to the GED, E&P in December, 2003. Within his short stint at the Nigerian Content Division (NCD) from January-June, 2007, he among others contributed extensively towards the drafting of the Nigerian Content Bill which ultimately developed into the Act currently in operation in the country. While working in Crude Oil Marketing Division (COMD) from July 2007 to April, 2016, Mr. Olamide exerted exceptional economic mind-set hence made huge savings for the Corporation from various financial arrangements due to his excellent team lead in Production Contract Management. He was appointed the General Manager, Planning & Commercial in November, 2016.
Having worked for over 25 years at various SBUs and with many top executives, Mr. Olamide has developed diverse leadership skills that continue to spur him for further initiatives in the implementation of the new Management vision of a truly commercialized NNPC.
External Roles: To mention just a few, Mr. Olamide served as Team Lead for the Documentation, Data Gathering, Counsel Briefings as well as NNPC Star Witness in most arbitrations and litigations on the PSCs in the Industry. In addition to numerous contributions and achievements to his credit during the legal battles, Mr. Olamide has continued to attract commendations to the Corporation at various levels.
